Ultrasound Tech - Per Diem

This is a Per Diem (as needed) position working at Northwest Medical Center Houghton.

Summary:

Performs ultrasonic diagnostic tests for patients as ordered.

Position Qualifications/Minimum Requirements

Education:

Required: Completion of an accredited program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or equivalent years of experience.

Experience:

Preferred: Two (2) years of ultrasound scanning experience in assigned area(s): abdominal, pelvic, small parts, obstetrics, gynecology, invasive procedures

Skills:

Appropriate prioritization while achieving effective safety and quality in a high volume environment; Engaging and clear communication and service skills; Adherence to policy and procedures; Process improvement oriented; Self-initiative to assist with whatever is needed.

Licenses/Certifications:

Woman’s Imaging
Required: American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers licensure (ARDMS) or ARRT with Breast certification

Other than Woman’s Imaging
Preferred: American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers licensure

All Positions
Required: American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross(ARC) or American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) BLS certification.
