System role supports Northwest Medical Center and Oro Valley Hospital 

As an organization leader, this position shares accountability for facilitating organizational and department goals using effective leadership knowledge, skills and abilities that ensure achievement of expected results for patient/customer service, employee engagement, financial health, business growth and quality and safety outcomes. Plans and implements the overall nursing policies, procedures, and services for a unit. Maintains nursing staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training clinical staff. Ensures that nurses are current in competencies, assessments, licensure, certifications, and other annual training. May provide direct patient care and is responsible for assessing, planning, and evaluating patients.

 

Position Qualifications/Minimum Requirements

Education:

"Required:  Associate's degree or Diploma in nursing program

Preferred:  Bachelor's degree (BSN) in nursing."                                                

 

Experience:                

Required:  Five (5) years experience in the area of specialty, and two (2) years of supervisory/management experience.                                                     

 

Skills:                

Acting with integrity, analyzing and interpreting financial data, computer literacy, gathering needed information, delegating and supporting teams, evaluating decisions/solutions, improving work process, making effective decisions.  Excellent human relations and oral/written communications skills.  Measuring customer service and meeting customer needs.  Partnering with customers/others, promoting NMC mission, vision and values.  Utilizing communication channels and Valuing diversity.                                                    

 

Licenses/Certifications:        

Required:  Current Arizona RN license or compact state license

American Heart Association (AHA)  or American Red Cross (ARC) BLS.
