Full Time position working 40 hours weekly 

The Main OR at Northwest Houghton Hospital features 4 surgical suites.

Join a team of surgical professionals who are performing new cutting edge procedures and taking great care of our patients. 

 

Assists in the care of the surgical patient by performing surgical tech duties, applying principles of asepsis to perform scrub duties and related activities for surgical procedures, arranging and inventorying sterile set-up for operations and passing items to doctors and nurses as needed and assists in preparing and moving patients and in cleaning the operating theater.

Works under the supervision of the Registered Nurse.

Position Qualifications/Minimum Requirements

Education: Required:  

Completion of accredited Surgical Technician program

-OR-  2 years of on-the-job training

-OR-  7 years of experience working in the field

-OR-  Military training program with 2 years surgical tech experience

 

Experience:

Preferred for Surgical Tech: Previous experience as a Surgical Technician.

Licenses/Certifications:

Required: BLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)

Preferred: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Tech in Surgery-Certified (TS-C)
