$7,500 Sign On Bonus for eligible, qualified, Surgical Tech's!

This is a Full Time position working in the Main OR at Northwest Medical Center. Excellent opportunity for an experienced Surgical Tech in our 16 suite Operating Room. Grow your skills with a team that is advancing several service lines. 40 hours weekly call working 10 hour day shifts.

 

Summary:

Assists in the care of the surgical patient by performing surgical tech duties and related activities for surgical procedures. Works under the supervision of the Registered Nurse.

 

Position Qualifications/Minimum Requirements

Education:

Required: Completion of accredited Surgical Technician program
-OR- 2 years of on-the-job training
-OR- 7 years of experience working in the field
-OR- Military training program with 2 years surgical tech experience

Experience:

Required for Cardiovascular Surgical Tech: 2 years previous experience in vascular, cardiac and thoracic cases.
Preferred for Surgical Tech: Previous experience as a Surgical Technician.

Skills:

Ability to read, communicate, and document effectively through oral, written, or electronic means. Excellent skills in customer relations. Ability to prioritize and respond promptly to a changing workload. Ability to respond to multiple situations and questions that require sound judgments and action for quality patient care.

Licenses/Certifications:

Required: BLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
Preferred: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Tech in Surgery-Certified (TS-C)
