Position is Full Time at Oro Valley Hospital Main OR
$7,500 Sign on Bonus available for experienced eligible Surgical Techs!
Schedule is 40 hours weekly plus required call & rotation
NEW benefits offered for STUDENT LOAN REPAYMENT - up to $10,000 for Surgical Techs working full time!
The Oro Valley Hospital Main OR features 6 operating rooms and is an all private-room acute-care hospital where technology and skilled professionals come together to provide compassionate, customer-focused care. Our key services include a robust orthopedics program using the da Vinci robot , minimally invasive and robotic assisted joint replacement surgery, minimally invasive and robotic assisted general surgery, gastroenterology and many others!
The Surgical Technologist assists in the care of the surgical patient applying principles of asepsis to perform scrub duties and related activities for surgical procedures, arranging and inventorying sterile set-up for operations and passing items to doctors and nurses as needed and assists in preparing and moving patients and in cleaning the operating theater. Works under the supervision of the Registered Nurse.
Position Qualifications/Minimum Requirements
Education: Required: Completion of accredited Surgical Technician program
-OR- 2 years of on-the-job training
-OR- 7 years of experience working in the field
-OR- Military training program with 2 years surgical tech experience"
Licenses/Certifications: Required: BLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
Preferred: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Tech in Surgery-Certified (TS-C)
