Position is Full Time working at Northwest Medical Center in the Main OR

 

The Main OR at Northwest Medical Center features 16 surgical suites in a dedicated surgical wing and perform highly specialized  cutting edge procedures AND minimally invasive procedures. Several suites are specialized for specific types of surgeries. Join a team of surgical professionals who are performing new cutting edge procedures and taking great care of our patients. 

 

Assists in the care of the surgical patient by performing surgical tech duties and related activities for surgical procedures. Resource to OR staff for service specific procedures, instrumentation and equipment.  Works under the supervision of the Registered Nurse.        

 

 Position Qualifications/Minimum Requirements                                                       

Education required: 

Completion of accredited Surgical Technician program

Minimum 2 years experience in the Surgical Tech role

-OR-  Military training program with 2 years surgical tech experience                                                

 

Experience:        

Required for Cardiovascular Surgical Tech: 2 years previous experience in vascular, cardiac and thoracic cases. 

Preferred for Surgical Tech: Previous experience as a Surgical Technician.                                                

                                        

Licenses/Certifications:        Required:

BLS (American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross(ARC) or American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI)

Preferred: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Tech in Surgery-Certified (TS-C)
