Position is PRN working at Northwest Medical Center in the Main OR

The Main OR at Northwest Medical Center features 16 surgical suites in a dedicated surgical wing and perform highly specialized  cutting edge procedures AND minimally invasive procedures. Several suites are specialized for specific types of surgeries. Join a team of surgical professionals who are performing new cutting edge procedures and taking great care of our patients. 

The Surgical Technologist assists in the care of the surgical patient applying principles of asepsis to perform scrub duties and related activities for surgical procedures, arranging and inventorying sterile set-up for operations and passing items to doctors and nurses as needed and assists in preparing and moving patients and in cleaning the operating theater.
Works under the supervision of the Registered Nurse.


 
Position Qualifications/Minimum Requirements
Education: "Required:  
Completion of accredited Surgical Technician program
-OR-  2 years of on-the-job training
-OR-  7 years of experience working in the field
-OR-  Military training program with 2 years surgical tech experience"

Licenses/Certifications: "Required: BLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
Preferred: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Tech in Surgery-Certified (TS-C) "
