Surgical Scrub Tech - Northwest Tucson Surgery Center - FT - Days

Great Opportunity - This Surgical Tech position is full-time days - No Nights, No Weekends, No Holidays! Great opportunity for an experienced surgical technician in a busy multi-specialty outpatient surgery center.

Up to $7,500.00 sign on bonus for qualified/experienced Surg Tech 

 

Assists in preparing rooms with appropriate instruments, sutures, supplies and equipment. Assists with opening of sterile supplies, sets up for procedures and maintains an orderly surgical field. Adequately prepares for  procedures/surgeries and anticipates physician's needs during procedures/surgeries. Accepts and properly identifies any medication or solution onto sterile field. Handles specimens/cultures according to policy. Performs sponge, instrument and sharps counts according to policy. Assists with care and maintenance of department equipment, instruments and supplies and returns all to proper locations. Performs other job duties relevant to the position as assigned.

 

Position Qualifications/Minimum Requirements

Education: "Required:  

Completion of accredited Surgical Technician program

-OR-  2 years of on-the-job training

-OR-  7 years of experience working in the field

-OR-  Military training program with 2 years surgical tech experience"

 

Experience:

 Preferred for Surgical Tech: Previous experience as a Surgical Technician."

Licenses/Certifications: "Required: BLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)

Preferred: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Tech in Surgery-Certified (TS-C) "
