Supervisor, Patient Access - FT
This FT/Nights position oversees the day to day operations of Patient Access, assigning, monitoring, training and evaluating staff, resolving patient/customer issues, overseeing vendors as assigned, and ensuring department meets quality assurance and point of service collection goals.
SUMMARY: Coordinates and supervises the daily operations of the department. Evaluates, monitors and adjusts department schedules and staff appropriately with adherence to organization guidelines. Ensures paperwork, logs, reports and other documentation are completed timely and accurately. Monitors maintenance of daily cash collection logs and motivates staff toward achievement of collection goals. Resolves disputes, problems, issues and concerns of assigned staff, customers, patients, or physicians, providing prompt response, resolution, counseling or recommendations. Participates in hiring and development of staff, including coaching, orientation and on-going training. Ensures on-time staff completion of all assigned training.
