Job Description

This is a Full time night shift position working at Oro Valley Hospital in the Sleep Lab.

Position Purpose


Responsible for activities in the sleep lab including, but not limited, to: verification of medical orders, protocol, and documentation; patient orientation to the sleep center; preparing / calibrating equipment used in sleep testing; performing patient preparation including application of electrodes in 10-20 montage, calibrations and Positive Airway Pressure mask fitting; performing data acquisition, documenting routine observations and assisting in appropriate interventions.; assisting in record staging, identifying significant events, and artifacts, and tabulations of accurate and timely reports of clinical data.


Position Qualifications/Minimum Requirements


Education: Required: High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
Experience: "Required: One (1) year Sleep Lab or Sleep Center experience.
Preferred: Three (3) years experience."
Skills: Ability to communicate / provide clear and accurate information in an appropriate manner consistent with the developmental age range of the patient. Ability to follow written and oral instructions and established procedures. Has current knowledge and skills appropriate to age / type of patient population served. Understanding of how sleep affects the body systems. Rapid interpretation of PSG tracings.


Licenses/Certifications: "Required:
-RPSGTor ABSM certificate
-American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross(ARC) BLS certification.
Preferred: AZ license as a CRTT, RRT, or RN."
