This is Supervisor position is a full time position working at Oro Valley Hospital in the Skilled Nursing Unit.

The candidate must have a AZ license for OT, PT, or ST.

 

Summary:

Responsible and accountable to the Department Director for the coordination of the staffing, and daily therapy functions of the departments. Directs and supervises functions and activities of personnel, monitors therapy outcomes and works closely with the Rehab Director and the nursing unit supervisors/managers or directors in coordinating the therapies program. In addition to general supervision, the supervisor will be responsible for: Patient and weekend scheduling of staff (PT, OT, and ST), Staffing, Monitoring productivity, Equipment ordering, Contribute and assist in running staff meetings for SNU, Provide feedback and deliver yearly evaluations of staff members, Attend and contribute in IDT rounds, stand up meetings, and care plan round meetings. Deliver direct patient care in SNU, reports to Skilled Nursing Unit Administrator and Director of Therapy. Will be in a cooperative roll and learning from the acute care therapy supervisor.

 

Position Qualifications/Minimum Requirements

Education:

Required: Education commensurate with license as required below.
Preferred: Bachelor's or Master's degree in physical therapy."

Experience:

Required: Two (2) years experience in an inpatient or outpatient rehabilitation setting. One (1) year experience in a supervisory role.

Skills:

Ability to communicate / provide clear and accurate information in an appropriate manner. Ability to direct, organize, and coach staff for efficient and effective provision of services, and to analyze and interpret workload data. Strong knowledge of inpatient rehab, acute therapies, and outpatient therapies.

Licenses/Certifications:

Required: Current Arizona PT, SLP, or OT license. American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross(ARC) or American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) BLS certification. For Skilled Nursing Unit: Fingerprint Clearance Card
