Job Description

This is a full time position supervising the security team at Northwest Medical Center - Sahuarita and Houghton Hospital!

 

Summary:

Supervises and oversees the day to day operations of the Security Department. Oversees security of patients, employees and visitors; protects campus buildings, assets and premises. Responsible to Manager for all shift lead responsibilities.

Position Qualifications/Minimum Requirements

Education:

High School diploma/GED preferred or equivalent experience required.

Experience:

Previous supervisory experience in criminal justice, law enforcement or security related field.

Skills:

Computer literate on Word processor. Sound leadership and decisiveness to promote the mission of the department during times of stress. Bicycle rider (Bike Patrol), handcuffing, collapsible baton (ASP or PR24), interrogation & interview, report writing, radio communications, interpersonal people skills and safe driver. Excellent command of the English language both verbal and written.

Licenses/Certifications:

Required: American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross(ARC) or American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) BLS, CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention), valid Driver's License, Member in good standing with I.A.H.S.S. (International Association of Hospital Security and Safety organization). ***For Skilled Nursing Unit: Fingerprint Clearance Card. ***Intervention/De-escalation Training Certification within one (1) month of hire

Preferred: Arizona Department of Public Safety Guard Card
