Job Description

This is a Full time Dispatcher position at Northwest Medical Center.

Job Summary

Assigns drivers and vehicles to convey freight or passengers. Coordinates drivers according to customer requests and in compliance with DOT regulations and company rules. Communicates with customers to determine driver demand and driving schedules. Notifies drivers of assignments and enters assignment data into a computer database. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent with 6 months of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
