Full Time, Monday through Friday Days 

$30,000 Sign on Bonus for qualified First Assists!!!

$10,000 for Student Loan Repayments

The Main OR at Northwest Medical Center features 16 surgical suites in a dedicated surgical wing and perform highly specialized  cutting edge procedures AND minimally invasive procedures. Several suites are specialized for specific types of surgeries. Join a team of surgical professionals who are performing new cutting edge procedures and taking great care of our patients.

Requirements:

• Requires an associate's degree, certification as a registered nurse first assistant (CRNFA), certification in perioperative nursing (CNOR), and at least 2 years of operating room experience.

• For RNFA: current Arizona RN license or compact state license
• Graduate of Surgical Assistant program NIFA with a Certification as an RNFA required.
• For all First Assists: American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross(ARC) or American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) BLS
• ACLS Preferred.

About the Job:

• The RNFA Surgical First Assist in the Operating Room at Northwest Medical Center, Evaluates perioperative patients and plans, implements and documents surgical nursing care. Performs surgical procedures under supervision of a surgeon. Functions in a scrub and circulating nurse role.
• Adequately prepares for procedures/surgeries and anticipates physician's needs during procedures/surgeries.
