$7,500 Sign-On Bonus $$ for experienced eligible Surgical First Assists and RNFA's!

This position is scheduled in the Main OR at Oro Valley Hospital Full Time, day shift with rotation and takes call as needed.

  • Performs surgical procedures under supervision of a surgeon.
  • Functions in a scrub and circulating nurse role. 
  • Directly assists surgeon during operative procedures. 
  • Requires an associate's degree, certification as a registered nurse first assistant (CRNFA), certification in perioperative nursing (CNOR).

The Oro Valley Hospital Main OR features 6 operating rooms and is an all private-room acute-care hospital where technology and skilled professionals come together to provide compassionate, customer-focused care. Our key services include a robust orthopedics program using the da Vinci robot minimally invasive and robotic assisted joint replacement surgery, minimally invasive and robotic assisted general surgery, gastroenterology and many others!

Position Qualifications/Minimum Requirements

Required Education: 

Successful completion of Accredited Surgical First Assistant (RNFA, CFA, or CSA) program required.                                               

"Required:   For CSA or CFA - First Assist certification and American Heart Association (AHA) BLS.

Preferred:  For CSA or CFA - American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS.

Required:   For RNFA - current Arizona RN license or compact state license and American Heart Association (AHA) BLS.

Preferred:  For RNFA -  First Assist certification, American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS."        

 

Credentialing requirements -

Must be able to provide documentation of 100 cases as a first assistant

Must maintain competency through continuing education as required by the certifying agency
