Quality Coordinator (RN) - Peer Review is a Full Time position working Mon- Friday at Northwest Medical Center 

What You'll do:

Quality Coordinator (RN) - Peer Review will coordinate provider peer review process for the Executive Committee for the Department of Medicine, Executive Committee for the Department of Surgery and Anesthesia, as well as our Allied Health Providers.

Manages Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluation OPPE process.

Monitors and provides assistance with quality assurance and compliance functions. Ensures policies and procedures are monitored and updated to include regulatory changes. Development and coordination of medical care evaluations, focus studies in accordance with standards, rules, other guidelines, and The Joint Commission and other regulatory compliance.

Works closely with medical staff leadership and perform complication review to triage different levels of peer review. Prepares agendas and associated packets for these meetings and takes minutes. This role also performs other duties as assigned associated with performance improvement.

Candidate should be comfortable with interacting with Physician Leadership and Executive Leadership frequently

Position Qualifications/Minimum Requirements        

Education:

Required:  Associates or Diploma in nursing program 
Preferred:  Bachelor's degree in nursing 

Experience:

Required: Three (3) years experience in acute clinical setting 

Preferred: One (1) year recent (within past 5) experience in Performance Improvement.

                

Skills:

Strong knowledge and understanding of the Joint Commission and other Regulatory agencies standards.

Compile statistics; computer literacy, data entry, retrieval, reporting; input data into computer programs; interview others; research information; strong analytical and organizational skills; and team facilitation and meeting skills. Excellent human relations and oral/written communications skills.

Computer skills including word, excel, and graphic. Spanish speaking preferred. Physician liaison.

 

Licenses/Certifications:        

Required: Current Arizona RN license or compact state license

American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)  BLS. 

Preferred: CPHQ (Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality)
