Job Description

This is a PRN position working in PreOp and PACU at Tucson Surgery Center, an outpatient surgical center located at 2121 N Craycroft Rd. Bld 8.

Day shift Monday thru Friday, no call, no weekends, no holidays

 

The Registered Nurse at Tucson Surgery Center Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care for the intra-operative patient.

The RN working in the Pre / Post OP / PACU at Tucson Surgery Center preps and recovers the intra-operative patient and assists physicians with procedures as needed and educates the patient and families. The Registered Nurse cares for the personal needs and comfort of patients post surgical procedures.

Either directly or indirectly reporting to a nursing supervisor, plans, directs, participates in and evaluates patient care.  Collaborates with other disciplines to provide optimal care.        

Must have at least 2 years acute care or similar experience preferred for PreOp/ PACU.

 

Position Qualifications/Minimum Requirements

Education:

Required:  Associates or Diploma in nursing program

Preferred:  Bachelor's degree in nursing                                                

 

Experience:

2 years acute care or similar experience preferred

 

Licenses/Certifications:

"Required: Current Arizona RN license or compact state license

American Heart Association (AHA)  or American Red Cross (ARC) BLS and ACLS and PALS for Preop/PACU
