RN PICC - Vascular Access Team
Job Description
This RN PICC Vascular Access Team position is Full Time , working 3 shifts weekly at Northwest Medical Center
What you'll do:
The Vascular Access (PICC) RN participates in increased levels of care in a dynamic setting that provides quality care to higher acuity patients that require a Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter
The PICC RN determines best vascular access device for patient based on medications, diagnosis, and length of hospital stay and/or home IV therapy. Reports directly to the patient's primary nurse and/or physician as needed. Troubleshoots and Declot VAD's or assists staff as a resource to unclot the line. Provides education regarding Vascular Access with patients, family, and staff. Obtain consent and Cerner documentation. Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care. Assists physicians during examinations and procedures. Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse.

Position Qualifications/Minimum Requirements
Education:
Required: Associates or Diploma in nursing program
Preferred: Bachelor's degree in nursing
Experience:
Clinical experience in area of expertise preferred.
Licenses/Certifications:

Current Arizona RN license or compact state license
American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) BLS , ACLS
