PER-DIEM OPPORTUNITY AT NORTHWEST MEDICAL CENTER - WOMEN'S CENTER ON THE LABOR AND DELIVERY UNIT!

The Northwest Medical Center, Women's Center is looking for a caring, compassionate and experienced professional to care for mother and baby in the 14 room Labor & Delivery unit. The RN assists physicians during examinations, procedures and deliveries, performs various patient tests and administers medication within the scope of practice of the registered nurse. The RN relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and manage a variety of potential issues in this fast-paced area. Collaborates with other disciplines to provide care, provides support to laboring women and families and provide education. 

The Registered Nurse in the Labor and Delivery department at Northwest Medical Center, Women's Center, evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care.

The Northwest Medical Center, Women's Center is the only free-standing women's center in Tucson and is provides patient-centered care to antepartum, laboring and postpartum women.

This position is not a "New Graduate" opportunity.

Position Qualifications/Minimum Requirements        

Education:  ADN or Diploma in Nursing Program,  BSN preferred

Experience: Minimum of 2 years L&D experience

Licenses/Certifications:

Required: Current Arizona RN license or compact state license

American Heart Association (AHA)  or American Red Cross (ARC) BLS , ACLS , PALS
