RN GI Supervisor
Job Description
This is a full time Supervisor position working in the GI department at Northwest Medical Center Houghton.
Summary:
Either directly or indirectly reporting to a nursing director; plans, directs, participates in and evaluates patient care. Collaborates with other disciplines to provide optimal care. Provides oversight for multiple hospital departments in the absence of unit management. Addresses patient care, staffing, and any other issues that may arise. Supervises nurses and staff and takes administrative responsibilities. Leads and directs the work of others.
Position Qualifications/Minimum Requirements
Education:
Required: Associates or Diploma in nursing program Preferred: Bachelors degree in nursing
Experience:
5-7 years clinical experience in area of expertise (PACU, PAT, GI, Pre-Op)
Skills:
Minimum 5-7 years of combined experience in Surgical Services, GI Preferred.
Licenses/Certifications:
Required: Current Arizona RN license or compact state license. Certifications from American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) as follows:
BLS, ACLS / ALS, & PALS.
