Job Description

This is a full time Quality Coordinator RN position working at our Houghton Hospital.

Plans, coordinates, and implements the quality management and quality improvement programs for a healthcare facility. Monitors and provides assistance with quality assurance and compliance functions. Provides consultation and direction to ensure programs and services are implemented at the highest standards and patients receive the highest level of care. Ensures policies and procedures are monitored and updated to include regulatory changes. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Associate's degree, at least 4 years of experience, and is certified as a registered nurse. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.

Required: Associates Degree, Post High School Vocational/Specialized Training.
Preferred: Bachelors Degree, Masters Degree.


Required: Three (3) years clinical experience as an acute care RN with exp in a critical care setting.
Preferred: One (1) year recent (within past 5) experience in Performance Improvement."

Strong knowledge and understanding of the Joint Commission and other Regulatory agencies standards. Ability to utilize systems to gather detailed data and report relevant analyses. Appropriate prioritization and planning skills, while achieving safety and quality in a high volume environment; Engaging and effective communication and service skills; Adherence to policy and procedures; Process improvement oriented; Self-initiative to assist with whatever is needed.

Required: Current Arizona RN licensure.
Preferred: Certification/Registration - CPHQ.
