Job Description

This is a full time Pre Admissions Rep working days at Oro Valley Hospital.

Summary:

Must have two years of registration experience with strong medical terminology in hospital setting, insurance and Meditech Knowledge. Ability to read and write English fluently, personal computer skills, ability to maintain good customer relations, excellent problem solving and communication skills, assist in development of office procedures, able to prioritize, answer multiline telephones, compile statistics. General office setting with exposure to computers and telephones. Extended video display exposure and use of keyboard. Daily interaction with patients and physicians. Work may be stressful at time. Contact may involve dealing with angry or upset people. Staff must remain flexible and available to provide staffing assistance for any/all disaster or emergency situations.

Position Purpose:
Responsible for the pre-admission and prior authorization of all scheduled patient procedures done by Centralized and Surgery Scheduling departments.

Position Qualifications/Minimum Requirements


Education: Required: High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
