Job Description
This is a full time Plumber position working at Northwest Medical Center.
Summary:
The Plumber will work with the Director of Plant Operations, Facility Manager, and the Maintenance Team to maintain the fire suppression system, PM program, and basic plumbing. The plumber will work with our compliance Coordinator and vendors to coordinate all testing and repairs of the fire suppression system. The Plumber will also do all manner of plumbing from replacing faucets to running drain augers in mainlines of the hospital. Medical gas experience is a plus. Experience in a healthcare setting is a plus. Work hours are Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm. On occasion, hours may flex as projects and emergencies dictate. This position would also be part of the rotating on-call roster. Responsible for design, development, implementation, and analysis of technical products and systems. Performs engineering design evaluations. May develop a range of products. Recommends alterations to development and design to improve quality of products and/or procedures. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Bachelor's degree in engineering and at least 1 year of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
