Job Description

This is a Per Diem position working weekend coverage, with a minimum of two weekend days per month. 

 

Summary:

Seeking a Per Diem Physical Therapist Assistant to work a minimum of two weekend days per month. Additional hours available! Assists a Physical Therapist with a patient's rehabilitative activities to help reduce pain and improve mobility. Assists in exercise instruction and demonstration, patient evaluation and testing. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A limited degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a physical therapist. Under supervision of the Physical Therapist, performs treatments and provides exercise instruction and demonstration for patients.

 

Position Qualifications/Minimum Requirements

Education:

Required: Associate's Degree Program from an accredited school.

Experience:

Preferred: One (1) year experience assisting Physical Therapist

Skills:

Appropriate prioritization and planning skills, while achieving safety and quality in a high volume environment; Engaging and effective communication and service skills; Adherence to policy and procedures; Process improvement oriented; Self-initiative to assist with whatever is needed.

Licenses/Certifications:

Required: Current Arizona Physical Therapy Assistant Certification.
American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross(ARC) BLS Certification.
Skilled Nursing Unit: Fingerprint Clearance Card
