$10,000 Sign on Bonus for eligible, experienced Pharmacist's!

This is a Full time day shift position working in the Pharmacy at Houghton Hospital.

Position Purpose
To provide pharmaceutical care to patients according to professional standards and practices. This position will always include providing drug therapy oversight for ED and critical care patients. Compounds and dispenses prescribed drugs in a healthcare facility environment. Responsible for transferring prescriptions, handling incoming physician calls, logging data into the computer, and Drug Utilization Review. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a manager. Requires a bachelor's degree and/or an advanced degree in pharmacy and is licensed to practice. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Requires appropriate license for practicing state.


Position Qualifications/Minimum Requirements
Education: Required: Bachelor's Degree via completion of 5 Year program from accredited school of pharmacy.
Experience: "Required: Completion of internship.
Preferred: Acute hospital in-patient experience. A PGY1 Pharmacy Residency is preferred.
Skills: Appropriate prioritization and planning skills, while achieving safety and quality in a high volume environment; Engaging and effective communication and service skills; Adherence to policy and procedures; Process improvement oriented; Self-initiative to assist with whatever is needed.


Licenses/Certifications: Required: Current licensure as a Pharmacist in Arizona. American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross(ARC) or American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) BLS upon hire and AHA ACLS Certification within 90 days of hire.
