Patient Transporter
Job Description
This is a Per Diem (as needed) position working Saturdays and Sundays from 11 am to 7 pm at Northwest Medical Center.
Summary:
Fast paced department provides entry level opportunity for friendly customer service oriented individual. Shifts are 8 hours. The Patient Transporter at Northwest Medical Center facilitates the efficient functioning of the patient care unit by performing transportation of patients, supplies, specimen and medication distribution. Transports patients to and from their inpatient beds and other areas like therapy, surgery or radiology. Other responsibilities include retrieving medical records, lab results, supplies and medications. The ideal candidate will have a flexible schedule of availability to work shifts as needed by the department.
Education:
High School diploma/GED preferred or equivalent experience required.
Experience:
Previous experience in a medical facility preferred.
Required:
Valid Arizona Driver's license
BLS certification card - American Heart Association (CPR)
