Paramedic - Full Time - Nights
Position is Full Time, Night Shift
12 hour shifts
The Paramedic in the Emergency Department at Northwest Medical Center Provides advanced life support care to patients who are ill and/or injured. Transports and transfers patients and assesses the extent of an illness or injury to establish and prioritize medical procedures to follow. Applies artificial respiration or administers oxygen in cases of suffocation and asphyxiation, dispenses antiseptic solution to prevent infection, starts and administers intravenous fluids, and performs other emergency medical procedures during the ambulance ride.
Carries out therapeutic measures for patients in the Emergency Department while working with the emergency team as directed by the Administrative Medical Director or online qualified physician (per R9-25-204, 205), and ED Nursing Leadership.
High school diploma or equivalent, registered with the EMT National Registry, licensed by State EMS Authority, and 1 year of experience in a Pre-hospital setting. AZ state CEP certification, BLS, PALS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
