Physical Therapy Asst

This is a full time position in the Outpatient Therapy department.

Purpose

Assists a Physical Therapist with a patient's rehabilitative activities to help reduce pain and improve mobility. Assists in exercise instruction and demonstration, patient evaluation and testing. PTA will also work around OT and SLP providers. Occasionally PTA may be asked to cover acute or Skilled Nursing caseloads. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A limited degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a physical therapist.

Requirements

Associate's degree from an accredited program and licensure as a physical therapist assistant, bachelors degree preferred but not required. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
