Outpatient Occupational Therapist
This is a Full time day shift position working as an Occupational Therapist in the outpatient therapy rehab department at Oro Valley Hospital.
Plans and conducts individualized occupational therapy programs to help patients develop, regain, or maintain their ability to perform daily activities. Teaches patients skills/techniques and how to use adaptive equipment for participating in activities. Studies, evaluates, and records patients' activities and progress. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. This is a outpatient setting but will also help cover our skilled nursing unit if there is insufficient patient load in OP or a high demand at skilled nursing. This position requires working with multidisciplinary team of PT and ST with some patients that get all three services in the OP post rehab setting. Typically reports to a manager.
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy and required state certification as a occupational therapist. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. BLS certification is required.
Hand therapy experience is preferred but not required.
