Seeking an Occupational Therapist who is dedicated to quality patient care across the continuum, working in an acute care setting.

Join a collaborative rehabilitation department dedicated to an interdisciplinary team based approach to medicine. In this department, there are opportunities to cross train in other levels of care Northwest Medical Center including acute care, inpatient rehab, skilled nursing, outpatient, and NICU.
Evaluates and accesses the needs of patients and formulates treatment plans. Develop, carries out, and documents treatment programs. provides education and training for patients, caregivers, and families. Coordinates within the interdisciplinary team including (but not limited to) nursing, physicians, specialists, respiratory therapy, dieticians, case management, ST/PT, radiologists, etc. considers, plans, and coordinates ongoing treatment plans to facilitate safe and effective discharge. May supervise Occupational therapy assistants and aides. Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals. Perform a variety of tasks. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Reports to the Director of Therapy Services.
Plans and implements specific treatment programs for individuals patients according to the principles and practices of occupational therapy.
Position Qualifications/Minimum Requirements
Education: Required: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited program in occupational therapy.
Experience: Required for NMC: One (1) year of acute care experience Preferred for OVH: One (1) year of acute care experience
Skills: Appropriate prioritization and planning skills, while achieving safety and quality in a high volume environment; Engaging and effective communication and service skills; Adherence to policy and procedures; Process improvement oriented; Self-initiative to assist with whatever is needed.
Licenses/Certifications: Required: Current Arizona Occupational Therapist license; American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross(ARC) or American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) BLS certification For Skilled Nursing Unit: Fingerprint Clearance Card
