Per Diem position

 

Position Purpose                                                                

Provides direction, counsel, and support for patient care staff.  Provides oversight for multiple hospital departments in the absence of unit management. Collaborates with other departments and healthcare professionals to provide, promote, maintain and evaluate quality patient care.  Coordinates patient placement to facilitate care.    

Addresses patient care, staffing, and any other issues that may arise. Supervises nurses and staff and takes administrative responsibilities.

                                                                 

Position Qualifications/Minimum Requirements

Education:               

 Associates degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing Program,  BSN or Masters in related field preferred.                                                    

Experience:               

 2 years of pertinent clinical and leadership experience.  Case Management, Critical Care or Emergency Department experience preferred.                                                     

Skills:                

Ability to work with multiple and varied levels of staff in collaborative and team focused approach using excellent communication skills. Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, complex problem solving abilities, team development, planning and follow through.                                                     

Licenses/Certifications:        

Required:

Current Arizona RN license or compact state license;

American Heart Association (AHA)  or American Red Cross (ARC) BLS & ACLS
