Nursing Director - Labor & Delivery
The Nursing Director is responsible for the maternity unit and all sub-units. Coordinates activities related to labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum, and the baby nursery. May also be responsible for community outreach programs through education and women's health initiatives. Operates within a set budget and in accordance with organizational performance standards. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
As an organization leader, this position shares accountability for facilitating organizational and department goals using effective leadership knowledge, skills and abilities that ensure achievement of expected results for patient/customer service, employee engagement, financial health, business growth and quality and safety outcomes. The Director of Clinical Nursing (RN) Services is responsible for directing nursing services of the Labor & Delivery and Women's Services department at Northwest Medical Center Houghton.
Required: Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Bachelors degree within 2 years of employment in the role.
Preferred: Masters degree ( i.e. MSN, MHA or MBA).
Required: Five (5) years of relevant professional experience, including three (3) years in leadership.
Required: Current Arizona RN license or compact state license and American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross(ARC) BLS.
Preferred: Nationally recognized certification in area of expertise.
