Nuclear Medical Technologist
Seeking a Nuclear Technologist. This position is a PRN - to join our team at Northwest Sahuarita Hospital. Our focus is on high quality patient care through patient assessment, critical thinking skills, time management and teamwork.
Summary: Under limited supervision, manages department, establishes policies, procedures, standards and objectives for the provision of nuclear medicine services: evaluates performance and maintains quality assurance; coordinates with other departments to provide maximum level of services to patients. Administers isotope dosage accurately following established departmental procedures: accurately records dosage administered. Observes patient during procedure and reports any unusual occurrences to appropriate personnel. Ensures delivery of quality nuclear medicine services for patients including acting as an educational resource. Evaluates nuclear medicine functions/practices on an on going basis. When necessary, develops and performs clinical trials and design imaging, and reviews, updates, and writes technical protocols for studies performed in the nuclear medicine division. Introduces and demonstrates new techniques, equipment and research findings to staff.
