Job Description

Provides administrative support to the Medical Staff Services Department and the Medical Staff Leadership. Process temporary privileges, oversight of medical staff reappointments and delegation of credentialing files to department credentialing specialists. Responsible for medical staff meeting preparation and post meeting duties including database updates and board of trustees letter preparation.   Performs credentialing responsibilities in an expeditious manner to bring on new physicians and allied health professionals (practitioners), maintain current practitioner status and to report credentials issues to leadership. Maintain ED call schedule database. 

High School Diploma or equivalent.  Prefer Associates degree in related field.  Proficient with Microsoft Office products, database software and interne . Understanding of medical terminology a plus.

Highly organized and multi-task skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication required. Must be knowledgeable of hospital policies and procedures.  Must be able to follow directions and to perform work according to department standards independently. Must be able to function effectively under stressful conditions and be able to meet deadlines timely.

Experience:  Required:  2 years experience in medical staff services environment     

Licenses/Certifications:  Preferred: CPCS Certification
