$5,000 Sign On bonus for eligible, experienced MLT's!

This is a Part time (half time) generalist position at Northwest Medical Center, flexible scheduling between 1st and 2nd shifts (no nights). Opportunity for additional hours if desired.

Position Purpose
Performs moderate and high complexity tests in the clinical laboratory. Ensures that specimens are appropriate for test methodologies. Documents all quality control activities, instrument and procedural calibrations, and maintenance performed. Assist customers with information regarding laboratory testing in a pleasant and professional manner.


Position Qualifications/Minimum Requirements
Education: "Required: Associate of Science degree or experience, education or other parameters that meet CLIA Federal Register requirement.
Preferred: Completion of recognized MLT program; qualified as MLT through recognized certification agency such as ASCP or AMT with experience examination."
Experience: Preferred: One year experience in a clinical laboratory.


Skills: Ability to read, communicate, and document effectively through oral, written, or electronic means. Excellent skills in customer relations. Demonstrates the constant ability to prioritize and respond promptly to a changing workload. Ability to respond to multiple situations and questions that require sound judgments and action for quality patient care.


Licenses/Certifications: "Required:
For FSED, Urgent Care, SAH: American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross(ARC) or American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) BLS
For NMC, OVH, Houghton: none required
Preferred: Certifications: American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP); or American Medical Technolologists (AMT); or American Association of Bioanalysts (AAB)."
