Job Description
This is a full time position working at Northwest Medical Center.
Summary:
Manages the day-to-day operations for the admitting department including bed assignments and completion of preliminary paperwork. Implements admissions policies and practices and coordinates with medical, nursing, and accounting staff to ensure appropriate patient placement. Ensures that all insurance benefits coverage meets standards of admission as dictated by hospital policy. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. Bachelor's degree and at least 5-7 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
