Job Description

This Maintenance Plumbing position is full time, 8 hour day shifts with some call possible needed to respond to emergencies.

Required Experience:
Four (4) years experience in plumbing.

Required: Valid Arizona Driver's License.

Position Purpose: Inspects, installs, repairs and replaces pipes, fittings and plumbing fixtures to maintain the heating, water, gas and drainage systems of hospital facilities.

  1. Repairs valves, fixtures and fittings in heating and drainage.
  2. Cuts, bends, threads pipes; fits threaded pipes with adjoining pipe assemblies.
  3. Replaces washers, faucets and broken pipes; caulks leaks, opens clogged drains.
  4. Caulks leaks, opens clogged drains.
  5. Installs, repairs and replaces piping and fittings for oil, gas, water, steam, air, heating and plumbing lines and systems for equipment such as compressors, pups, boilers.
  6. Performs a variety of general maintenance, repair, overhaul, and construction duties in all hospital buildings.
  7. Ensures proper safety procedures are observed.
  8. Keeps work areas orderly, clean and safe. Ensures proper care in the use of equipment and supplies.                
  9. Attends meetings as required.
  10. Demonstrates proficiency at hospital wide and/or department specific computer software and technology.
