Job Description

This is a full time position working days at Oro Valley Hospital.

 

Position Purpose:

Responsible for Maintaining and repairing Air handling units, exhaust fans, ice machines and the building life safety feature assets on the Building Maintenance Program (BMP) to comply with NFPA Life Safety Code. Responsible for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of the above referenced equipment throughout facility. This position requires a good working knowledge of air distribution systems, EMCS and ensure compliance of NFPA Life Safety code as relative to a healthcare environment.

 

Position Qualifications/Minimum Requirements

Education:

Required: High School diploma/GED or equivalent experience. Post high school vocational / specialized training (i.e., electrician, etc.).

Experience:

Required: Three (3) years mechanical & electrical experience
Preferred: Experience in a hospital environment; NFPA 101 life safety code knowledge

Skills:

Knowledge of mechanical devices, transmissions, HVAC systems and components. Ability to write clear and concise and complete reports and paperwork. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, diagrams and O & M Manuals. Working knowledge of applicable codes and regulations for healthcare. Strong attention to detail. Working knowledge of computer systems.

Licenses/Certifications:

None required.
