Seeking a licensed, experienced Pharmacy Tech Specialist to join our awesome team looking to work part time, 32 hours a week varied shifts with Full time benefits at Northwest Medical Center.

 

Position Purpose

This position is focused on updating patient medication histories on admission.   The process includes conversations with the patient, family and other health care professionals to obtain an accurate medication list that is updated in the electronic health record.  
Under the supervision and direction of the Pharmacist, provides assistance to pharmacists who perform pharmaceutical care to patients according to professional standards and practices.


Position Qualifications/Minimum Requirements


Education: "Required: Pharmacy Technician program training -OR-
Arizona State Board of Pharmacy Technician license or Pharmacy Intern License"


Experience: "Required: Two years of pharmacy technician experience required or enrolled in an accredited school of pharmacy.
"
Skills: Ability to communicate in Spanish is preferred. Computer literacy, excellent organization and prioritization skills, personable, resourceful, problem-solving abilities, initiative and motivation, high level of written and communication skills, and must be able to work independently under set guidelines.


Licenses/Certifications: "Required: Arizona State Board of Pharmacy Technician license within 60 days of hire date or Pharmacy Intern License.
American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross(ARC) BLS Certification.


Skilled Nursing Unit: Fingerprint Clearance Card"
