Insurance Verify Representative

This is a Full Time, Day Shift, Insurance Verifying Representative opening supporting Houghton Hospital!

Coordinates insurance verification on all admissions to the facility ensuring coverage meets the standards of admission as stated in hospital policy.

Position Qualifications/Minimum Requirements

Education: Required: High School diploma/GED or equivalent experience

Experience: Required: Two years registration experience.
Preferred: Hospital billing and insurance verification experience

Skills: Knowledge of applicable HCFA and other regulatory requirements, including third party payer procedures and practices required. Working knowledge of medical terminology, good human relations and analytical skills required, ability to use computerized Admitting/Billing system
