Will work 2 12 hour shifts on floor and 2 8 hour shifts in admin to provide leadership support to unit

Position Purpose                                                                

Entry level Supervisor position working under the direction of the Unit Manager.  Oversees and coordinates effective operation of the unit on the assigned shift.  Directs and supervises staff,  functions and activities.  Performs patient care duties.   Provides oversight for hospital department. Addresses patient care, staffing, and any other issues that may arise. Supervises nurses and staff and takes administrative responsibilities. Leads and directs the work of others.

 

 

Position Qualifications/Minimum Requirements                                                                

Education:                

Minimum of Associate's Degree in Nursing, Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred.                                                    

Experience:                

Two (2) years of experience in specialty area required. One (1) year in supervisory or CNL capacity preferred.                                                    

Skills:                

Interview others; Team facilitation & meeting skills with effective conflict resolution skills.                            

Licenses/Certifications:        

"Required:

Current Arizona RN license or compact state license

BLS Basic Cardiac & ACLS ( American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
