Additional pay differential available for evening and night shifts based per schedule worked

Position Purpose

The  Housekeeper  (EVS Aide) , in the Environmental Services department performs a variety of general cleaning tasks to maintain patient rooms & offices, hallways and other assigned areas of the hospital. 

The cleanliness of our hospital is the first impression our patients have of our hospital and is an important part of the great customer service experience we deliver.

The Housekeeper Cleans, disinfects, mops, dusts, and polishes  many surfaces throughout the hospital. Occasionally shampoos rugs and furniture and cleans vents, fans and other equipment using vacuum machines. Performs terminal cleaning procedures of patient rooms after patient discharge and prepares the room for a new occupant;  also follows isolation procedures in isolation rooms.

Removes waste and soiled linens from work areas and places in specified bags or containers. Gathers and disposes of trash and waste material.
