Job Description

Position is in the Operating room as an orderly at Tucson Surgery Center 2121 N. Craycroft Rd. Bldg. 8.

Monday through Friday; no weekends or holidays!

 

Summary:

Cleans and maintains buildings/facilities. May be expected to make basic repairs. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to a supervisor/manager. High school diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years previous experience required. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.

 

Position Qualifications/Minimum Requirements

Education:

Preferred: High School diploma/GED preferred or equivalent experience

Experience:

Preferred: Previous housekeeping experience (routine/project cleaning), preferable in healthcare.

Skills:

Ability to multi-task in a high volume environment; Attention to detail and policy with concern for patient safety and quality outcomes; Effective communication skills across multiple stakeholders, including patients, caregivers, visitors and administrators.

Licenses/Certifications:

For Skilled Nursing Unit: Fingerprint Clearance Card
