This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Northwest Healthcare Houghton radiology team in a beautiful, new hospital environment. Seeking a EEG Tech - PRN - working days, on call required, to join our team at Northwest Healthcare. Our focus is on high quality patient care through patient assessment, critical thinking skills, time management and teamwork.

 

Summary:

Performs sleep and critically ill bedside EEGs. Can manage EEGs in both a medical/surgical unit as well as in an ICU setting.  Knowledgeable of all EEG policies and procedures that fall under this position level.  Full comprehension of all EEG services provided.  Utilizes relevant information from the patient’s clinical record and obtains additional information if necessary in order to pursue an accurate patient assessment and prioritize the patient care delivered.  Has demonstrated effective communication skills with nurses and physicians in all clinical areas of the hospital and works as a team player in accomplishing overall healthcare team objectives. Documents patient care delivered in a timely and consistent manner and assures the completeness of the patient’s electroneurodiagnostic medical record. Provides assistance to physicians on an on-going basis with examinations, procedures, and other processes related to the direct care of the patient. Demonstrates proper measurement and  lead placement of 10-20 electrodes and performs without supervision all EEG studies, ambulatory EEG studies and electrocerebrosilence studies.
