$20,000 Sign On Bonus for eligible candidates!

This is a full time position working days at Northwest Medical Center Houghton.

This position will have call hours as a requirement.

 

Summary:

Performs two-dimensional echocardiography examinations for patients as ordered according to established standards and practices. Performs exercise stress echo examinations. Assists physicians with dobutamine stress testing and TEE. Takes call independently and will serve as back up call when required. May be required to work in various locations as needed.

 

Position Qualifications/Minimum Requirements

Education:

Required: Graduate of an accredited diagnostic cardiac ultrasound program.

Experience:

Required: One (1) year of clinical experience in adult echo, stress echo and Transesophageal Echo (TEE) in a hospital or clinical setting.

Skills:

Has current knowledge and skills appropriate to age/type of patient population served. Must be competent in performing general echocardiography procedures. Must be competent in communication skills that provide clear and accurate information in an appropriate manner within the developmental age range of the patient. Must be able to perform special procedures proficiently (TEE; Dobutamine stress testing).

Licenses/Certifications:

Required: Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross(ARC) or American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) BLS. Upon hire into the role: Registry eligible as a Cardiac Sonographer through ARDMS or CCI credentialing. Within one year of hire into the role: Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) OR Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
