Director of Pharmacy
Job Description
This is a full time position with oversight of the Pharmacy department at Northwest Medical Center Houghton.
Summary:
As an organization leader, this position shares accountability for facilitating organizational and department goals using effective leadership knowledge, skills and abilities that ensure achievement of expected results for patient/customer service, employee engagement, financial health, business growth and quality and safety outcomes.
Position Qualifications/Minimum Requirements
Education:
Required: Master's degree or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from accredited college of pharmacy.
Experience:
Required: Completion of ASHP accredited pharmacy residency. Ten (10) years pharmacist experience, including two (2) years as director/manager of community hospital pharmacy.
Skills:
Deep expertise in healthcare industry needs and trends related to assigned areas of oversight; Ability to develop and present strategy and operational plans; Operational and people management skills that result in patient satisfaction, on-going quality improvement and employee engagement of a diverse population; Results oriented with proven success at working collaboratively with all stakeholders to meet key goals.
Licenses/Certifications:
Required: Current pharmacy license from the state of Arizona. American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross(ARC) or American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) BLS and ACLS.
