Director of Perioperative Services
Job Description
Northwest Hospital Houghton has an exciting opportunity for a Director of Surgical Services.
The Director assumes leadership responsibility for the divisions clinical and administrative departments assigned. The director is responsible for the development of patient care programs, policies, and procedures. The director will participate with administration, management, medical staff, clinical leaders and frontline employees in the decision making structures and processes. The director will implement an effective, ongoing program to measure, assess, and improve the reliability and quality of care delivered to patients. The director is responsible for budgeting and managing supplies, equipment, and personnel in the division. The director will ensure that division staff has sufficient information to comply with corporate compliance program.
Education:
- BSN Required
- Masters Degree preferred
Licensure:
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Arizona or any other state with evidence of application for Arizona licensure.
- BLS Required
- ACLS Required
Essential Functions/Duties

- Employs leadership skills (e.g., foundational thinking, personal journey, uses systems thinking, succession planning and change management).
- Demonstrates professionalism (e.g., personal and career accountability, career planning, ethics, practices evidence based clinical and management, advocates for the clinical enterprise and for clinical practice, and active membership in professional associations).
- Applies business skills (e.g., understanding of healthcare finances, human resource management and development, strategic management, marketing, and information management and technology).
