Job Description
Director of Women's Services at Northwest Medical Center - Labor & Delivery, Post Partum & NICU. As an organization leader, this positions shares accountability for facilitating organizational and department goals using effective leadership knowledge, skills and abilities that ensure achievement of expected results for patient/customer service, employee engagement, financial health, business growth and quality and safety outcomes.
Oversees operations in order to maintain standards of patient care; advises management, patient care staff and administrators in matters related to nursing service. Directs the establishment and implementation of policies and develops organizational structure and standards of performance. Interprets policies and objectives of nursing service to staff and community groups. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Education:
Required - Bachelors degree in Nursing
Preferred - Masters degree (i.e. MSN, MHN or MBA)
Experience:
Required - Five years of relevant professional experience, including three years in leadership
Licenses/Certifications:
Required - Current Arizona RN license or compact state license & American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) BLS
Preferred - Nationally recognized certification in Women's care.
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice. BSN. Minimum 7-10 years experience. Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills. Work effectively with administrators, physicians, peers and all members of the health care team. Computer competency including Word, Excel, and be able to extract data Previous supervisory experience required.
