This is a full time position working in the Nutritional Services department at Northwest Medical Center.
Position Purpose
Prepares and serves high quality nutritious meals to Patients, Staff, Physicians and Visitors in a safe and sanitary manner. Cooks duties includes all hot prep and cooking for department
Position Qualifications/Minimum Requirements
Education:
Preferred: High School / GED
Experience:
Preferred: One (1) year experience in institutional food preparation.
Skills:
Knowledge of cooking methods/procedures, including types of preparation and related routines. Appropriate prioritization and planning skills, while achieving safety and quality in a high volume environment; Engaging and effective communication and service skills; Adherence to policy and procedures; Process improvement oriented; Self-initiative to assist with whatever is needed.
Licenses/Certifications:
Required: Current Health Department Sanitation Certificate or Serve Safe Certificate from a county within the state of Arizona or Food Handler Certificate.
