Job Description
This is a Full time position working at Northwest Houghton Hospital.
Position Purpose
Responsible for the coordination and delivery of in-service training and educational sessions related to ensuring clinical competence and related to improving the culture of safety based on the organization's culture of safety survey results.
Position Qualifications/Minimum Requirements
Education: "Required: Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN) within four (4) years of employment in the role.
Exception if hired into Educator role prior to 2010: Associates Degree in Nursing or diploma program"
Experience: "Required: Five (5) years of experience in area of expertise.
Preferred: Previous experience as an educator"
Skills: Ability to provide daily operational leadership to small teams. Appropriate prioritization while achieving safety and quality in a high volume environment; Engaging and effective communication and service skills; Adherence to policy and procedures; Process improvement oriented; Self-initiative to assist with whatever is needed.
Licenses/Certifications: "Required:
Current Arizona RN licensure or compact state license
For all CNE except PeriOp: American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross(ARC) BLS & ACLS
For PeriOp CNE: American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) BLS; CNOR certification within 90 days of hire into the position.
Preferred: Nationally recognized certification in area of expertise.
